The feeling of christmas





Christmas is defined differently by different people ; to some,  its the birth of christ and the  unity and love brought by the love of christ also it reminds of us of God's abundant love and mercy on us. To others; Christmas comes with expectional and delicious dishes,  the unity in eating together as a family, the love in drinking wine together. Christmas brings us together, to share and eat like family,  to discuss our success and faliures most importantly it takes us home. The spark of love in the tune of our loved ones,  the cold chilling harmattan that comes with inner joy and happiness,  the endless smile that children wear like there new christmas cloth, the inner satisfaction of being home thats christmas. Another set of people see christmas as a period of endless enjoyment,  the loud music, the club light,  crazy dancing steps, party after party and to another set of people it reminds them of the unforgettable reality "time is a thief" to some its an alone time for them, to distance themselves from people in search of peace of mind. At the end we are all searching for ways to feel the emptiness in us with love .


Merry christmas to y'all,  may  God feel our empty souls with love, peace and happiness

And also one must wash his hands with the provided soap and water in the school compound  before you can be allowed in class. The orientation was held in the hall with not more than 100 students per barge. The first barge ended with the installation of fear and extra carefulness in us and we washed our hands according to what we were taught in the hall by the school nurse before we left the school environment.       I was still on the summer internship application when news was brought to us that school has shutdown till further notice...

The Twists in the middle of these Corona stories

The good thing about it it that I have gone to market, so I don’t have to worry for sometime about what to eat because the new rule now is that one is not allowed to leave the cité for more than 30 minutes, if so you will be tested before you can come into the cité. That was the voice I was hearing in my dream only to wake up and realize it was not a dream. It was the voice of my roommate telling her parents about the current situation and that was the news we received in the afternoon from The director through Grace after two students from Cape-cost Ghana were taken to the hospital or one can call it a confinement house.      Some still believe that they won’t get it and on the other hand we were coming up with different propaganda against the nurse. What if she has it ? What if she mistakes flu or malaria for Coronavirus ? What if she’s the primary source for us getting it ? This situation has instilled more fear in everyone. Everyday Coronavirus in Togo

16 cases of Coronavirus in Togo and one of the lecturers in village du Benin tested positive. This sent waves of fear to every student leaving in the cité even thou the news could be false but it spread like a wild fire everywhere.      Here we are thinking this virus was not close by but we forgot that the center of Lomé is Université du Lomé. Village du Benin which is located few steps by the left through the school main gate is a language school that is run by the government.       My upper lips was burning from the goat meat suya i was eating, someone on the other hand asking what we were told in the Coronavirus orientation. Of course some of the students didn’t come for the orientation because we thought Lomé as Nigeria; where we can stay with our family with peace of mind.
